Vijayawada: A massive Rs 700 crore land scam has come to light in Ibrahimpatnam, Andhra Pradesh, involving the alleged illegal acquisition of prime properties. The issue was brought to attention by retired sub-registrar Singh, who penned a letter to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, exposing the fraudulent activities.
According to Singh’s letter, the scam involves high-profile names, including YS Sunil, brother of opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Jagan’s personal assistant Nageshwar Reddy, actress Ritu Chowdhary, and businessman Cheemakurthi Srikanth. Singh alleged that during the previous government’s tenure, he was coerced into registering properties worth crores of rupees in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Rajamahendravaram under questionable circumstances.
The scam reportedly revolves around the illegal seizure of lands through intimidation and manipulation of records. Singh’s revelations have raised serious concerns about the misuse of power and influence in property dealings.
CM Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly instructed officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. The allegations, if proven, could lead to major legal repercussions for those involved. Meanwhile, opposition parties have denied the accusations, calling them politically motivated.
