The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) kickstarted its annual Mahanadu celebrations with renewed enthusiasm among party members. Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu formally launched the event by hoisting the party flag and paying rich tributes to TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). He warmly greeted party leaders and workers at the venue, boosting their morale. As part of the program, he also visited a special photo exhibition and encouraged the digital membership registration drive by signing up at the Chittoor Parliament stall.
A major highlight of the event was the active participation of TDP General Secretary and Minister for IT and Education, Nara Lokesh. His arrival brought excitement among the younger party members. Lokesh introduced a “six-point formula” that many believe will shape a new direction for the party, respecting the senior leadership while empowering the youth. His inclusive and forward-looking approach left a strong impression, showing his growing influence within the party and his commitment to bridging generations.
Speaking at the event, Chandrababu Naidu expressed satisfaction over Andhra Pradesh emerging as a hub for solar power generation. He emphasized that the goal of the coalition government is to strengthen the rural economy by increasing farmers’ income. Lokesh also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for highlighting yoga in the latest ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and assured people in Kuppam, during his recent visit to his new residence, that he is committed to resolving their issues quickly.
