The farmers approached the Supreme Court against the order of the High Court in the R-5 zone case. Earlier this case was transferred to the bench which hears capital cases. The Supreme Court gave its verdict after a hearing today i.e., on May 17. While giving the verdict that the house plots can be allocated in the R-5 zone, the Supreme Court has made it clear that the final judgment of the High Court should be adhered to.
