The Andhra Pradesh government has been warning against the protests made by the Anganwadi workers for the past few days. The workers have been demanding a rise in their wages and other benefits. ESMA has been implemented against them but still, the Anganwadi workers didn’t budge from the warnings.
Last night, the Anganwadi workers were put under house arrest citing law and order problems. In a surprising development today, the government has ordered all the district collectors to fire all the protesting Anganwadi workers from their jobs.
The meetings with Cabinet Minister Botsa Satyanarayana haven’t turned fruitful for the Anganwadi workers and now the government has ordered to fire all the workers who will not attend to their duties with immediate effect.
We have to wait and see how the Anganwadi workers will react to this.
