Vanajeevi Ramayya, the Padma Shri awardee, has passed away. He was recently admitted to the Khammam Government Hospital due to health issues, where he succumbed to a heart attack while receiving treatment. Known for his immense love for nature, Ramayya was a dedicated environmentalist who planted over a crore trees, significantly contributing to the spread of greenery.
In recognition of his tireless efforts towards environmental conservation, the Government of India honored him with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2017. Ramayya hailed from the village of Reddipalli in the Khammam Rural Mandal of Telangana.
His work will be remembered for its deep impact on the environment, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations to contribute to preserving nature.
