Hyderabad: Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has filed a defamation case against Minister Konda Surekha after her comments about his family went viral. The case was filed in the Nampally Court, but the hearing has been postponed as the judge was on leave. The court will now hear the case on October 7.

Konda Surekha recently mentioned Nagarjuna, Samantha, and Naga Chaitanya while criticizing BRS leader KTR during a media interaction. Her remarks about their personal matters quickly spread online, leading to widespread reactions.

Many, including the Akkineni family and members of the film industry, expressed their displeasure, demanding an apology from the minister. They warned that baseless comments would not be tolerated and called her statements irresponsible.

Following the backlash, Konda Surekha announced that she is withdrawing her remarks.
