In a stunning move, Miss England 2024, Milla Magee, has become the first-ever Miss England to quit the Miss World competition midway, revealing disturbing details about the pageant’s behind-the-scenes practices. Magee, a 24-year-old lifeguard and plus-size campaigner, expressed her shock in an interview with The Sun, describing the event as degrading. She claimed contestants were paraded in front of male sponsors, expected to maintain a flawless appearance at all times, and were pressured to entertain men during social events. Magee, who initially joined to promote causes like CPR awareness, said the competition focused more on outdated pageantry than meaningful change. Her departure has cast a shadow over the ongoing Miss World 2025 event, currently being held in Hyderabad, India. Following Magee’s exit, Miss Liverpool, Charlotte Grant, has been selected to represent England in the finals.
