Mahindra has set a new booking record with the launch of the Thar Roxx on Independence Day. Within just one hour of opening the bookings at 11 am, they received 1,76,218 bookings, averaging 2,937 units every minute.
This surpasses the previous record held by the Scorpio N, which had 1 lakh bookings in 30 minutes.
Deliveries for the Thar Roxx will begin from Dussehra. However, due to limited production capacity (9,500 to 10,000 units per month), buyers can expect longer waiting periods, especially for the 4X4 variant with the Mocha Brown interior, which will only be available by January 2025.
Mahindra has used smart marketing strategies, such as launching different variants at different times and introducing a new interior shade right before the bookings started. The Thar Roxx is priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 22.49 lakh.
