1. Mohan Yadav hails from the OBC Community which forms the total 48 percent of the population.
2. His Full name is Mohan Poonamchand Yadav who was born in the year 1965 in Ujjain. He is a Ph.D., LLB, and MBA degree holder. He is married to Seema Yadav and has three children (2 sons and 1 daughter).
3. Mohan Yadav who is a businessman first, began his political career as a college student leader. His serious political career began in the year 1982 when he started serving as joint secretary of Madhav Science College Ujjain. Two years later, he was elected President.
4. He became national secretary in the year 1991 to RSS’ students wing ABVP in Ujjain. From 1993 to 1995, Yadav was the functionary in Ujjain city.
5. From 2011 to 13, Yadav served as chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPTDC). In 2013, he was elected as an MLA from the Ujjain South constituency. In 2018, he won again from the same constituency.
6. In 2023, he scored a hat-trick by winning with a huge margin of 12,941 votes. He served as the Education Minister in the outgoing Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s cabinet.
