Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Saifullah Khalid has denied his group’s involvement in the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 tourists on April 22, 2025. In a controversial statement, Khalid claimed that India staged the attack itself in order to damage Pakistan’s international image.
Khalid accused India of playing a “drama” and called the attack a “false flag operation.” He urged the international community not to blindly support India and to recognize what he called the “truth” behind the incident.
His remarks come days after The Resistance Front (TRF), a known LeT-linked group, claimed responsibility for the attack, raising questions and tensions further in the region. Indian authorities have strongly rejected Khalid’s claims and are continuing their investigation through the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
