Hyderabad: In a major crackdown, the Madhapur SOT police busted a high-tech prostitution racket operating in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The illegal operation was being run discreetly in the TNOGs Colony of Gowlidoddi, involving foreign nationals.
According to reports, the locals grew suspicious as foreign women were frequently seen in the area. After monitoring the situation for a few days, they tipped off the police. Acting on the information, the Madhapur SOT and HTF officials raided the premises late at night on January 28, uncovering the illegal operation.
During the raid, officials arrested multiple individuals, including nine foreign women. The victims were identified as nationals from Kenya, Tanzania, and Bangkok. The main organizer, who had been running the operation secretly, managed to escape before the raid. A police manhunt is underway to nab him.
Authorities suspect that the operation was part of a larger international trafficking network. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
