The lottery for the H-1B visas for year 2023-24 has started. As per the current trend, a very limited number of visas are being issued this year to each employer company.
H-1B visa, the most popular visa category allows American employers to hire foreign professionals with specialized skills to work in the country for a specific period.
However, with more applications coming in every year, getting an H-1B visa is getting tougher. The United States issues only a specific number of H-1B visas.
With the wait getting longer and tougher, US immigration lawyer Robert Webber suggested a few other options to the Indians in this regard.
“Indians may want to consider going to Universities in Canada and Australia and becoming their respective country citizens. Special US work visas are available for citizens of Australia (E-3 visas) and citizens of Canada (TN visas).
