To ensure smooth conduct, authorities plan to allow devotees to take holy dips at multiple ghats along the river, avoiding overcrowding at a single location. In 2015, similar precautions were implemented following incidents during the inaugural day.

A comprehensive Rs 904 crore budget has been proposed for the development of ghats in the Godavari districts. Of this, Rs 271.43 crore has been allocated to upgrade the Rajahmundry Railway Station to accommodate pilgrims, while Rs 100 crore has already been sanctioned by the central government. Additional funds will support road and bridge improvements, with Rs 456.5 crore dedicated to city roads and Rs 678.76 crore for highways and bridges.

The state irrigation, tourism, and endowment departments are coordinating efforts to develop 17 existing ghats and plan four new ones. An action plan for housing, transport, and riverfront development is in progress, with a high-level review by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expected soon.
