Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Kodali Nani has undergone bypass surgery due to heart-related issues. The surgery is taking place at the renowned Asian Heart Care Center in Mumbai, under the leadership of eminent cardiac surgeon Dr. Ramakant Pandey.

Kodali Nani was initially admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad on March 26, after experiencing gastric issues. Medical tests revealed that he had heart-related problems, with blockages in three blood vessels that supply blood to the heart. Initially, doctors considered placing stents, but his condition required surgery instead. Given the complexities, medical experts recommended that he seek treatment at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai, renowned for its expertise in cardiac surgeries.
Former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to have taken a special interest in ensuring the best possible care for Kodali Nani, similar to his own earlier experience. In 2022, during his cabinet tenure, a fellow cabinet minister, Pinipé Vishwaroop, also underwent heart surgery at the same hospital under Dr. Ramakant Pandey’s care
