Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will brief a parliamentary committee on Monday and Tuesday regarding recent India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting, chaired by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the attack, – and subsequent hostilities between the two nations. With both countries agreeing to halt military actions on May 10, the briefing will focus on current foreign policy developments.

Additionally, the parliamentary committee on water resources, headed by BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, will discuss flood management, riverbank protection, and cross-border river concerns. Meanwhile, the government plans to send all-party delegations to 33 global capitals to highlight India’s firm stance against terrorism.
