According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck at 5:36 AM at a depth of 5 kilometers, with its epicenter located at 28.59°N latitude and 77.16°E longitude in New Delhi.
The tremors were felt across Delhi, Noida, Indirapuram, and surrounding NCR regions, prompting many people to step out of their homes in fear. Although there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, the sudden jolts created concern among residents.
Seismic activity in the Delhi-NCR region is not uncommon, as the area lies in Seismic Zone IV, which is prone to moderate to high-intensity earthquakes.
