The ACB Court has given its verdict. It has dismissed Chandrababu Naidu’s plea to grant house remand instead of jail citing health and security concerns. However, the ACB Court agrees with the arguments of the AP CID.
Naidu’s advocate Siddharth Luthra said to the court that there are several hardcore criminals in the Rajamahendravam Jail where CBN was kept in judicial remand and Luthra opined that it would not be safe for Mr. Naidu.
On the other hand, advocates of CID said that Mr. Naidu was kept in a special jail where 24/7 security was provided. The Jail has a huge compound wall with electric fencing and several police officials were guarding the jail. The advocates made it clear to the court that doctors and medical facilities would be provided anytime. The CID made it clear that home remand is not provided to anyone in this country and it shouldn’t be an option.
The court agreed to the arguments of the AP CID and denied Naidu a home remand.
