Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi has once again sparked political speculations following his interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Sankranti celebration hosted by Union Minister Kishan Reddy in Delhi. PM Modi’s warm reception and special gestures toward Chiranjeevi have ignited debates about his potential political re-entry, possibly under the BJP’s banner.

Chiranjeevi, who founded the Praja Rajyam Party in 2009 and later merged it with the Congress, has largely stayed away from active politics since 2014. However, the recent developments have reignited discussions about his role in politics.

During the Sankranti event, PM Modi greeted Chiranjeevi with an affectionate embrace, invited him to light the ceremonial lamp, and seated him alongside other dignitaries, underscoring the respect accorded to the megastar.

Reports suggest the BJP may offer Chiranjeevi a Rajya Sabha seat to bolster its presence in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. With his brother Pawan Kalyan already playing a key role in Andhra politics through the Jana Sena Party and its alliance with the BJP, Chiranjeevi’s potential entry could strengthen the BJP’s influence in the region.

As the political buzz intensifies, all eyes are on Chiranjeevi’s next move, which could redefine the dynamics in Telugu politics.
