Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), which will feature 74 matches across 13 venues. The tournament is set to commence on March 22 with an opening clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The grand final will also be held at the same venue on May 25.
Multiple Franchises to Play at Second Home Venues
In a unique move, three IPL franchises will play at least two of their home matches at designated second home bases. However, the exact venues for these games are yet to be disclosed.
