The volunteer system in Andhra Pradesh came under the radar of discussion very recently after Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan pointed out the loopholes in the system. We have been witnessing incidents that involve volunteers in the crime and in the latest one, a ward volunteer named Rayavarapu Venkatesh works part-time at a fast food run by Kotagiri Srinivas in Purushothapuram.

Kotagiri Srinivas returned home after closing the joint and found out that his mother, Varalakshmi aged 72 had already breathed her last. He immediately alerted the Police and the officers came and found out that her gold chain was missing. The Police after investigation and checking out the CCTV footage found out that Venkatesh was seen leaving the apartment at that time.

The Police have taken Venkatesh into custody and further investigation is on the way. Varalakshmi’s body has been sent to postmortem. These types of incidents focus more on the entire system and its working way.
