Dubai: Actor and avid racer Ajith Kumar experienced a close call during the practice session for the Dubai 24 Hours endurance race, also known as 24H Dubai 2025. Driving at 180 kmph, Ajith’s car spun out of control and crashed into the barriers just minutes before completing his six-hour practice run.
The incident was captured in a video released by his team, showing the car spinning seven times before coming to a halt. Ajith was promptly rescued and taken to an ambulance.

Suresh Chandra, the actor’s manager, confirmed that Ajith is “hale and healthy” and reassured fans of his well-being. The accident occurred as part of the rigorous preparation for the endurance race, which requires each team member to drive in six-hour shifts over a 24-hour period.
Ajith Kumar, who owns the racing team Ajith Kumar Racing, was set to participate in the race alongside teammates Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod. Fabian Duffieux, who became the team manager in December 2024, has been instrumental in guiding the team.
This race was set to mark the debut of Ajith Kumar Racing in endurance racing, a milestone in the actor’s passion for motorsports. Despite the setback, fans hope to see Ajith back on the track soon.
